INFINITY ARIADNA KOSMOFLOT: Chernobog

Image
Chernobog Armored Detachment Every army needs a big bad robot.  So glad Ariadna finally got one. I had lots of fun painting up this metal beast. I started with drybrushing the whole thing to give it a textured metal look.  Then I went over all the panels with glazes smooth things out.  My inspiration was the Goliaths from Star Craft, tying in this model with my Kosmoflot army. INFINITY ARIADNA KOSMOFLOT: Crimson Stone and Beyond

Image
Crimson Stone It was fun to put together this army and think up a colour scheme that was a bit different.  There are not too many figures in the range so it is quite a compact army to collect.  Patchers were my main inspiration to collect Kosmosflot and Starcraft is the main influence on the scheme I came up with.  Hope to expand this faction with a couple of aditional themed units eventually. Para-Commando  (Boarding Shotgun), Zenit 7  (AP Marksman Rifle),  S.A.S (Boarding Shotgun),  Volkolak  (HMG) & Rokots Beyond Crimson Stone William Wallace ,  Kosmosoldat  (Portable Autocannon) & Scots Guard (Shock Marksman Rifle) Kosmoflot Expansion Pack Alpha Kosmosoldat (Portable Autocannon),  Para-Commando (AP Spitfire) & Volkolak (Missile Launcher) Patchers  "You want a piece of me, boy?" INFINITY ARIADNA KOSMOFLOT: William Wallace

William Wallace Braveheart himself, the Big W enters the team.  Kosmoflot and Araidna for that matter have so many diverse factions jammed within factions it is tricky to make the armies look both authentic to the faction and tie into a sectorial or army as a whole.  I tried a little splash of  subfaction colour, ie blue for scots and red for Fench, but keep he overall Kosmo colour as teal.

INFINITY ARIADNA KOSMOFLOT: 1st Highlander S.A.S (Boarding Shotgun)

1st Highlander S.A.S (Boarding Shotgun) It was hard to come op with a colour scheme to fit the Kosmoflot faction without maiking it look silly.  In the end I went with camo green, dark greys and blacks as the main colours, but added just a tiny splash of teal and blue to tie it in with both the Scots and Kosmoflot. Turned out better than I imagined, as did the Scots Guard.
