JSA SECTORIAL ARMY PACK: Kuge Delegate

Image
Kuge Delegate This was the last figure I did in the Army Pack.  I did quite a bit of research on kimono colours and patterns to try on this lovely lady.  I wanted her to contrast greatly from the rest of my JSA as she is a civilian. In the end I chose a two tone green colour, not because of the studio model, but because green is my wife's favourite colour.  Indeed the Kuge Delegate became a proxy for my wife (who is of asian descent with long dark hair) and the black cat in her hand a proxy for my own fur baby, Lucius!  My wife showed a picture of this model to her nephew the other day and he said, without any prompting, that this is his aunty lol! Thus the Kuge Delegate is my family by proxy in miniature form, so my JSA better protect her on the battlefield lol!

JSA SECTORIAL ARMY PACK: Daiyokai Dengekitai

Image
DAIYOKAI DENGEKITAI So this was the last military guy in the JSA Army Pack I painted and it took me a bit of courage to attempt doing it.  I painted all the other minis first in order to get my Infinity groove on and gain confidence in working on Infinity miniatures, as well as map out the colour scheme for the whole army.  On this big guy I was trying out the Konoe colour scheme I was intending to apply to my future heavy infantry models.  I was also seeing how well manual blending would look compared to airbrushing, since my airbrush was long out of commision for any serious painting.  In the end I was happy with the results and confident I could get some good results on armour without an airbrush.

JSA SECTORIAL ARMY PACK: Kuroshi Rider

Image
KUROSHI RIDER  Bye Bye Bye Asuka and hello Celty ! Have to say I would have preferred an Asuka resculpt as she is such a cool and sexy model.  Dems da breaks I guess. Loved the red bike colours, reminiscent of Akira as well as the bike the Major rides in the new GITS: Arise series, so felt no need to deviate far from the studio pattern colours.  Changed to blue lights, however to contrast better with the red.  Very satisfying model to paint especially shading and highlighting the bike itself.  Completing this model felt like I had finally got into the groove of painting Infinity minis.

JSA SECTORIAL ARMY PACK: Kempeitai (Shotgun)

Image
KEMPEITAI (With Shotgun) So this dark sinister bossman (not quite Aramaki) looks like he will keep any trouble makers in line (watchout cheerleaders!).  Given his role and nature I kept the red armour so he would stand out from the line troops, but went for quite dark robes as befits this antihero.  It was a nice little challenge to paint the kanji characters on the armband.

JSA SECTORIAL ARMY PACK: Kaizoku Spec Ops (Limited Edition)

Image
KAIZOKU SPEC OPS It was hard come up with the right colour scheme for this guy.  I didn't want to do him all bright like the studio one as he seemed like a special agent/undercover kind of dude, so I went for more muted colours, based on my Ryuken guy's colour scheme.

JSA SECTORIAL ARMY PACK: Oniwaban

Image
ONIWABAN After working on the troops it was time to do a sci fi ninja.  Who doesn't think space ninjas are cool?  Didn't stray far from the studio colours as I really liked the glowy fibre bundle muscle armour they had devised.  However, I painted the katana in more red/warm tones rather than yellow as I didn't want to use yellow as part of the overall army colour palette.
